420th Separate Unmanned Systems Battalion
Since October 26, 2024, the 420th Separate Battalion of Unmanned Systems “KHORT” has been headed by Pavlo PATARETSKY, an experienced officer under whose command the battalion has reached a new level of combat effectiveness. Thanks to his strategic vision, coordinated work of the headquarters and constant development of personnel, the unit has successfully completed tasks almost along the entire front line. The commander pays special attention to the implementation of innovations, combat coordination and systematic work of the engineering and drone component, which allows KHORT to destroy the enemy at a long distance, regardless of weather conditions and electronic warfare means.
UAV Technician
1100 - 2800 USD per month
Official service in the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Responsibilities
• conduct maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of unmanned aerial vehicle systems (UAVs)
• monitor the technical condition and mission readiness of UAVs.
Identify and resolve malfunctions
• upgrade hardware and software components
• prepare reports and documentation on completed work
• ensure compliance with safety measures and equipment operation regulations
Requirements
• language of communication - Spanish or English
• experience in servicing and repairing electronics
• readiness to work in a combat zone
• understanding of the basic principles of circuit engineering
• ability to read electrical diagrams will be an advantage
• experience in operating a UAV will be an advantage
• suitability for military service in terms of health condition
• absence of alcohol or drug addiction
• experience in military service will be an advantage
Terms
• basic salary: $500 USD per month
• additional reward: $1,100 – $2,800 USD for conducting tasks and orders (depending on the place of performance)
• additional reward for Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 216 (UAV Operator) - $200-300 USD per month (only in combat zones)
• signing of an official contract for 3 years (can be terminated after 6 months), probationary period of 2 months.
• a month of special training and exercises with professional instructors.
• food, special clothing and equipment, accommodation, medical and social security at the expense of the state.
• financial compensation in case of injury
• annual basic leave of 30 days and additional leave for family reasons
UAV Operator
1100 - 2800 USD per month

Responsibilities
• operate unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)
• conduct aerial reconnaissance to identify enemy positions and equipment
• coordinate artillery fire
• engage enemies using attack drones or drop systems
• perform maintenance on drones and their equipment
• analyze and process data obtained during flights
• prepare reports for command
Requirements
• language of communication – Spanish or English
• readiness to conduct combat missions in a zone of active combat operations
• secondary specialized or higher education (preferably technical) will be an advantage
• desire to work with UAVs, learn and the ability to quickly master new techniques
• ability to work in a team, responsibility and discipline
• suitability for military service in terms of health condition
• physical endurance and readiness to execute missions
• having prior experience piloting UAVs will be an advantage
• absence of alcohol or drug addiction
• experience in military service will be an advantage

UAV Mechanic

Responsibilities
• perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of unmanned aerial vehicle systems (UAVs) and their auxiliary equipment
• monitor the technical condition of UAVs
• prepare UAVs for mission execution
• analyze and troubleshoot malfunctions
• integrate new solutions and execute combat orders as part of the unit
Requirements
• language of communication - Spanish or English
• experience in servicing and repairing electronics
• readiness to work in a combat zone
• understanding of the basic principles of circuit engineering
• ability to read electrical diagrams will be an advantage
• experience in operating a UAV will be an advantage

Responsibilities
• operate vehicles to transport personnel and cargo, including UAV equipment
• maintain and repair automotive equipment and its electrical systems (batteries, generators)
• ensure the operational functionality of equipment and uninterrupted power supply in field conditions
• execute combat and specialized tasks as part of the UAV unit
Requirements
• language of communication - Spanish or English
• experience in servicing and repairing electronics
• readiness to work in a combat zone
• understanding of the basic principles of circuit engineering
