81st Separate Airmobile Brigade
The 81st Separate Airmobile Slobozhansk Brigade of Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The brigade was formed after the beginning of the Russian aggression, in the fall of 2014. The brigade's personnel received their baptism of fire in late 2014 - early 2015, during the defense of the Donetsk airport and adjacent areas.
When Russia launched its full-scale invasion in 2022, the 81st Brigade was immediately thrown into frontline battles. Its 5th Battalion Tactical Group fought in Sumy on the very first day, while the 90th Battalion was deployed to defend Izium and later Oleksandrivka.
The brigade also participated in operations around Sloviansk, Sviatohirsk, and the Donetsk region, helping to liberate towns such as Novoselivka and Lyman.
In 2025, the brigade was equipped with American Stryker armored personnel carriers, enhancing its capability to conduct urban operations and rapid maneuvering in contested terrain.
Today, the 81st Brigade continues to be one of Ukraine’s elite air assault formations. Though its structure has evolved over time—most notably with the disbanding of the 122nd Battalion in August 2025 and the formation of a new 3rd Airmobile Battalion—the unit remains based in Kramatorsk, Donetsk Oblast, and is integrated into the 7th Rapid Response Corps.
Its personnel continue to operate in the most volatile sectors—Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kharkiv—embodying the brigade’s founding purpose: to defend Ukraine’s sovereignty in its most contested regions.

• 500 USD for the training period, 1100 - 2800 USD for conducting of tasks and orders (depending on the place of performance), + 1670 USD additional payment for each 30 days on the frontline

• a month of special training and training with professional instructors.
• food, special clothing and equipment, accommodation, medical and social security at the expense of the state.

Rifleman

maintenance of weapons
• carrying out the duties assigned to him and the tasks assigned to him, and for keeping his weapons and equipment assigned in good condition, for preserving the property issued to him
• performing combat missions with the unit

• maintenance of order and discipline in the location of the military unit

• education: secondary, vocational secondary/higher

Official service in the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Responsibilities
• repair and maintenance of wheeled equipment of any complexity
• knowledge of the structure, technical capabilities, rules of operation and maintenance of the car, keeping the car in constant readiness for action; skillful driving in any situation, at any time of the year and day
• driving wheeled vehicles of various types and brands
• In case of detection of a malfunction (damage) of the machine, taking measures to eliminate it

• suitability for military service for health reasons and moral and psychological qualities
• military service experience will be an advantage
• education: secondary, vocational secondary/higher
