The spring-summer offensive did not bring significant successes to the russian invaders, says a report by the American Institute for the Study of War. The pace of russian advance is the lowest since 2024, and confirmed losses in July amounted to almost 31 thousand soldiers.

Having no noticeable successes on the battlefield, the russians are increasingly resorting to attacks against the civilian Ukrainian population. This is especially true for residents of front-line cities and towns. In early August, several illustrative cases occurred in this regard.

On August 3, a russian drone attacked a civilian man in Kherson who was selling vegetables at the market. Many were shocked by the video of this “safari”.

The video clearly shows the operator of a Russian drone chasing and then attacking a civilian who is trying to avoid being hit by a car. The man shows no signs of being a combatant, he is peacefully trading in the market. However, for the russian invaders, he is still a target. Fortunately, despite the powerful explosion literally under his feet, the 52-year-old man survived. He received an explosion injury, shrapnel wounds and a concussion.

To justify their actions, the russians stated that they had previously seen this farmer’s car near the Ukrainian military. But in the frontline region, the proximity of civilians and military personnel is simply inevitable!

“The russian drone was purposefully hunting for a man who was selling vegetables, and blew itself up next to him,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the incident. – And the russians themselves admitted that they committed this crime and that they are not only not sorry, but are proud of how they are mocking people…

The world must see this. It must see every fact that russia has gone mad, and every fact that the russian military enjoys killing and mocking people. Without pressure on russia, without dismantling its aggressive potential and without real security guarantees from russia, it is simply impossible to imagine that the world will be able to coexist with this evil. We must continue to be resolute in order to protect life. We must act in such a way and support life in such a way that russia is forced to really think about peace, and not about how to increase the range of its drones.”

On the same day, a russian drone attacked a combine harvester in another front-line region. A 49-year-old farmer died as a result of the strike. It is difficult to imagine a more peaceful piece of equipment than a combine harvester harvesting wheat. But this did not stop the russian invaders.

And on August 7, the Russians attacked a market in the town of Bilopillya with a drone, where farmers were selling their products. As a result, 13 people were injured. Soon, a seriously injured 82-year-old man died in hospital.

Strike on russian logistics

Meanwhile, Ukraine is increasing its strikes deep into russian territory in order to force the aggressor to stop the war. In addition to attacks on russian oil refineries, strikes have been launched on the network of large Wildberries logistics centers, which are used to supply russian troops with everything they need - from drone spare parts to communication equipment. Moreover, all this was often received by russian military units that have disgraced themselves with war crimes.

As a result of a series of attacks by Ukrainian drones in various russian regions, about 20 logistics hubs were hit, about a million square meters of warehouses were destroyed. The consequences of this were immediately felt at the front. According to Ukrainian military sources, russian units began to feel a shortage of spare parts for drones. As a result, the russians were forced to impose limits on the use of drones. After all, cameras, propellers, remote controls, batteries and other components that are necessary for the manufacture and equipment of drones burned down in huge quantities in the affected warehouses.

Ukrainian soldiers continue to demonstrate determination and professionalism in the defense of their homeland and call on foreign volunteers to join their ranks.
