in the Defense Forces of Ukraine

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is launching a comprehensive optimization of military service. The main thing is new contracts with higher salaries and bonuses.

Priority for a foreign volunteer

Infantry assault contract

The highest payments, in accordance with the greatest risks, will be made to direct participants in combat operations - infantrymen, assault troops, combat medics, gunners and driver mechanics, snipers and scouts.

The infantry assault contract provides for:

≈ $215
for one day in combat positions
≈ $435
for one day of low-intensity combat or reconnaissance
≈ $870
for one day of assault operations
≈ $435
+ base salary for each month

Thus, the average salary under this contract will be ≈ $6 520, and the maximum up to $10 000. Thanks to the new system, Ukrainian infantrymen are becoming some of the highest-paid specialists in the world!

If a soldier who has concluded an infantry assault contract, for some good reason, stays in the rear for a whole month and does not go to combat positions, he will receive ≈ $650. For example, for a recruit this may be completing a basic military training course, which lasts about a month and a half.

Combat contract

Provides for service in drone units, artillery, electronic warfare, etc. Under this contract, the closer the soldier is to the front line, the higher his salary. The minimum is ≈ $650, the maximum is ≈ $2 175.

The basic contract

Which provides for service in the rear, has had its salary increased by a third - now it is ≈ $650. And when performing special or combat missions, the maximum payment can reach ≈ $2 175.

  • In addition, a separate reward of ≈ $2 175 is provided for each captured enemy soldier. This amount is divided between several fighters who took a direct part in capturing the prisoner.
  • For each enemy soldier eliminated in contact or shooting combat, ≈ $325
  • Also, each soldier can receive financial allowance for health once a year in the amount of ≈ $435
All monetary payments to servicemen are made in Ukrainian currency - hryvnias, to the personal bank card of a foreign volunteer. The hryvnia is a freely convertible currency that can be easily exchanged for dollars or euros.
