36th Separate Marine Brigade

The 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynskyi (36th SMB) is an elite formation within the Marine Corps of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Organizationally, the brigade's headquarters is based in the city of Mykolaiv.
The brigade's motto is "Always Faithful."
Field of activity and tasks
The Marine Corps is a highly mobile branch of the military, designed for operations as part of tactical and operational-tactical landing forces, as well as for the defense of important coastal zones, ports, and islands.
The main tasks of the 36th SMB are:
Naval and airborne operations: Seizing beachheads on the enemy's coast, crossing water obstacles.
Assault operations: Breaking through the enemy's echeloned defense in difficult sectors of the front.
Coastal defense: Protecting coastal areas, naval bases, and critical infrastructure from naval and airborne landings.
Modern high-tech warfare: Massive and effective use of reconnaissance and strike UAVs, electronic warfare (EW) systems to suppress enemy drones and adjust artillery fire.
