Combat Engineer / Sapper
1100 – 2800 USD per month
Official service in the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Responsibilities
• conducting engineering reconnaissance of terrain to detect mines, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and other explosive threats
• neutralizing explosive hazards both manually and with the use of specialized equipment
• installing minefields (anti-tank and anti-personnel), including with the help of drones or mechanical minelayers
• preparing safe passages through minefields, either covertly or under fire support
• constructing fortifications: bunkers, trenches, firing positions, observation and command posts
• installing engineering obstacles: anti-tank hedgehogs, concertina wire, traps, anti-landing barriers
• studying terrain and preparing ground for defense or assault operations (clearing paths, building bridges and crossings)
• working in close coordination with reconnaissance, artillery, and engineering units of other formations
• maintaining documentation on mine-laying and demining operations in accordance with international law
Requirements
• language of communication - Spanish or English
• knowledge of Ukrainian or russian language will be an advantage
• suitability for military service in terms of health condition
• military training or relevant service experience will be an advantage
• knowledge of combat tactics and working with machine guns will be an advantage
• high physical fitness and endurance
• ability to work in a team, discipline and readiness to perform in conditions of increased danger
• readiness for long-term field deployments
• readiness to work in a combat zone
• absence of alcohol or drug intoxication addiction
Terms
• 1100 USD for the training period, 2800 USD for conducting of tasks and orders (depending on the place of performance), + 1670 USD additional payment for each 30 days on the frontline
• signing of an official contract for 3 years (can be terminated after 6 months), probationary period of 2 months.
• a month of special training and exercises with professional instructors.
• food, special clothing and equipment, accommodation, medical and social security at the expense of the state.
• financial compensation in case of injury
