Khartiia

Khartiia is the 13th Operational Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, actively engaged in combat in the northern part of the Kharkiv region. The brigade is renowned for its use of advanced battlefield technologies, rigorous training, and meticulous planning of combat missions.


The brigade's international unit was established in April 2024 by highly experienced combat commanders. We offer intensive training, continuous development for our fighters, and a high level of administrative support for foreign soldiers.

Rifleman

Official service in the military units of the National Guard of Ukraine

Responsibilities

• engaging enemy forces using standard-issue rifles and small arms in various combat environments

• performing patrolling, assault, and defensive tasks as part of an infantry fireteam or squad

• executing orders in close coordination with the team leader and support elements

• clearing buildings, trenches, and enemy positions during urban or field operations

• participating in force protection duties, observation posts, and perimeter security

• maintaining personal weapon and equipment in full working condition

• providing assistance in casualty evacuation, resupply, and other combat-related tasks

Requirements

• language of communication - Spanish or English

• knowledge of Ukrainian or russian language will be an advantage

• suitability for military service in terms of health condition

Combat

Reconnaissance officer

1100 – 2800 USD per month

Official service in the military units of the National Guard of Ukraine

Responsibilities

• conducting reconnaissance in the combat zone: identifying enemy positions, equipment, personnel and resources

• collecting, analyzing and transmitting intelligence information to the command

• performing tasks on surveillance and monitoring the territory

• using modern equipment during tasks: drones, night vision devices, thermal imagers, etc.

• organizing and conducting ambushes, raids and sabotage

• survival and working in autonomous mode in conditions of lack of support

Requirements

• language of communication – Spanish or English

• physical endurance

• readiness to work in a combat zone

• suitability for military service in terms of health condition

• absence of alcohol or drug addiction

• experience in military service will be an advantage

Terms

• 500 USD for the training period, 1100 – 2800 USD for conducting of tasks and orders (depends on the place of performance), + 1670  USD additional payment for each 30 days on the frontline

Combat

Machine gunner

Official service in the military units of the National Guard of Ukraine

Responsibilities

• using a machine gun to neutralize the enemy

• providing fire support for a sniper group during operations

• performing tasks to hold positions, cover snipers during withdrawal or movement

• monitoring the technical condition of the machine gun, its maintenance and preparation for battle

• participating in reconnaissance and combat operations as part of a sniper detachment

Combat

Combat Engineer / Sapper

1100 – 2800 USD per month

Official service in the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Responsibilities

• conducting engineering reconnaissance of terrain to detect mines, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and other explosive threats

• neutralizing explosive hazards both manually and with the use of specialized equipment

• installing minefields (anti-tank and anti-personnel), including with the help of drones or mechanical minelayers

• preparing safe passages through minefields, either covertly or under fire support

• constructing fortifications: bunkers, trenches, firing positions, observation and command posts

• installing engineering obstacles: anti-tank hedgehogs, concertina wire, traps, anti-landing barriers

• studying terrain and preparing ground for defense or assault operations (clearing paths, building bridges and crossings)

• working in close coordination with reconnaissance, artillery, and engineering units of other formations

• maintaining documentation on mine-laying and demining operations in accordance with international law

Combat

BMP Driver-Mechanic

1100 - 2800 USD per month

Official service in the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Responsibilities

• operating the Infantry Fighting Vehicle (BMP) in both combat and training environments

• ensuring the safe transport of personnel and weapons to designated positions, including evacuation under enemy fire

• performing daily technical maintenance and pre/post-operation checks of the BMP

• detecting and repairing malfunctions in the engine, transmission, track system, and other key components

• navigating the vehicle through difficult terrain (e.g., rough, swampy, forested areas)

• participating in river crossings and other obstacles when the BMP model allows for amphibious capabilities

• keeping records of fuel, lubricants, and spare parts consumption

• working in close coordination with the vehicle commander, gunner-operator, and other crew members to accomplish missions

• taking part in combat sorties, as well as evacuating wounded soldiers or damaged vehicles when necessary

• observing camouflage rules, safety procedures, and equipment preservation during missions

Combat

Squad Leader

1100 - 2800 USD per month

Official service in the military units of the National Guard of Ukraine

Responsibilities

• leading a squad (typically 6–10 soldiers) during combat missions, patrols, and defensive operations

• planning and organizing the execution of combat tasks assigned by the platoon commander

• distributing duties, assigning roles, and ensuring coordination among squad members

• conducting tactical training and supervising the professional development of subordinates

• making real-time decisions in combat environments, including maneuvering, use of cover, and fire control

• ensuring combat readiness, discipline, and morale within the squad

• managing radio communication and reporting on the situation, losses, and mission status

• maintaining accountability for weapons, equipment, and ammunition of the squad

• supporting medical evacuation and coordinating with supporting units such as medics, engineers, or artillery

Requirements

• language proficiency: Communication in English or Spanish (basic Ukrainian or russian is an advantage)

• military experience: Prior service as a squad leader or senior position in infantry, reconnaissance, or mechanized units is strongly preferred

• leadership skills: Ability to command under pressure, make rapid tactical decisions, and manage team dynamics in combat

• physical fitness: High level of endurance, mobility, and mental resilience

• tactical knowledge: Proficiency in infantry tactics, small-unit maneuvers, and fire coordination

• combat readiness: Willingness to lead missions in high-risk combat zones

• technical competence: Basic knowledge of weapon systems, radios, and battlefield navigation tools

• discipline and responsibility: No record of substance abuse or misconduct; clear understanding of military hierarchy and rules of engagement

• availability: Willing to sign a service contract and commit to training and active deployment schedules

Sniper

Official service in the military units of the National Guard of Ukraine

Responsibilities

• engaging high-value enemy targets with precision fire at long distances using sniper rifles

• conducting concealed surveillance and reconnaissance of enemy positions

• working in pairs or as part of a sniper team (spotter-shooter)

• preparing sniper positions, camouflage, and escape routes

• reporting enemy movements, identifying targets, and correcting fire for artillery and drones

• maintaining sniper weapon systems and optics in combat-ready condition

• supporting units during raids, ambushes, and defensive operations

Responsibilities

• engaging enemy personnel, equipment, and light fortifications using under-barrel or standalone grenade launchers

• operating various types of grenades (fragmentation, thermobaric, smoke) depending on the mission

• supporting fireteams during assaults and defenses by delivering suppressive or destructive fire on enemy positions

• working in close coordination with the squad leader and riflemen

• carrying and maintaining assigned grenade launcher, sidearm or assault rifle, and related ammunition

• participating in reconnaissance, urban combat, and clearing operations when necessary
