  • • effective and safe use of the grenade launcher (RPG, AGS, or another type of weapon) to destroy tanks, armored personnel carriers, fortified firing positions, enemy personnel, and other identified targets
  • • destroying identified targets on the order of the squad commander or independently if they pose an immediate threat
  • • providing fire support for one's own squad/unit during an assault, defense, or maneuver
  • • continuous observation of the battlefield, detecting new targets, changes in the situation, and enemy positions

Responsibilities

  • • using the machine gun to suppress enemy firing points, destroy personnel, and provide fire support for the advance of your unit
  • • providing constant and effective fire cover for the actions of rifle teams, snipers, as well as during maneuvers, withdrawal, or fortification
  • • constantly monitoring the battlefield, identifying enemy positions and targets, and reporting them to the commander
  • • quickly and correctly selecting a firing position, setting it up (digging in), determining sectors of fire, preparing a range card (for long-term positions)
  • • following orders: clearly executing the orders and instructions of commanders regarding fire, movement, and interaction with other soldiers
  • • regularly inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and fixing minor malfunctions of the machine gun (for example, firing delays)
  • • checking the availability and quality of ammunition, the loading of belts, ensuring the serviceability of all weapon mechanisms before going on a mission
