47th Separate Mechanized Brigade “Magura”

The 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade “Magura” was established in the spring of 2022 as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Initially formed as an assault battalion, it quickly grew into a regiment and, by November of the same year, into a full-fledged brigade. Its ranks include both experienced military personnel and highly motivated volunteers, united by a common goal — to liberate Ukrainian territories and stop the enemy.

The brigade is built on clear principles: mutual respect, discipline, continuous training, and love for Ukraine. Its greatest value is its people — strong, motivated, and well-prepared. With modern weaponry, Western equipment, high-level organization, and strong combat spirit, the 47th Mechanized Brigade is a powerful and effective force on the front line.

63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade

Most of us had no prior connection to the military, but when trouble came to our land, we had to learn new skills. The 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade is one of many brigades in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In short, we have infantry units, artillery divisions, a tank battalion, and a drone systems battalion — those are the forces that directly destroy the enemy. As in every brigade, we also have many rear services and departments where service members handle paperwork, prepare food, and provide clothing and footwear.

Of course, the brigade includes reconnaissance, medics, psychologists, analysts, journalists, accountants, mechanics, and more. In addition, only in our brigade do we have a modern mobile dental clinic and an equipment production facility. We actively cooperate with charitable organizations, well-known athletes, politicians, patrons, and partners. In one word, our brigade is like a large company with a general manager and many departments. Everyone works together toward a common result.

Discipline and responsibility come first in our brigade. Each service member should reflect before sleep on what useful thing they did for the brigade during the day and how it will help tomorrow. There is no room here for slackers or for those who like to take credit for other people’s work. In this way we have fully moved away from the typical Soviet-style army toward a modern military. The Soviet phrase “initiative is punished” does not apply here — on the contrary, the more you show smart initiative, the easier and more productive your service will be.

Yes, conditions are not luxurious — much time must be spent in basements because the enemy constantly tries to find and destroy our personnel — but for the greater cause these inconveniences can be endured.

To sum up: we, the service members of the 63rd Brigade, know why we went to war. Our mission is to bring Victory closer through the work and effort of every single person. Our goal is to preserve the state, the language, and the nation. Our dream is to return to our families and look them in the eye with no shame.

81st Separate Airmobile Brigade

The 81st Separate Airmobile Slobozhansk Brigade of Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The brigade was formed after the beginning of the Russian aggression, in the fall of 2014. The brigade's personnel received their baptism of fire in late 2014 - early 2015, during the defense of the Donetsk airport and adjacent areas.

When Russia launched its full-scale invasion in 2022, the 81st Brigade was immediately thrown into frontline battles. Its 5th Battalion Tactical Group fought in Sumy on the very first day, while the 90th Battalion was deployed to defend Izium and later Oleksandrivka.

The brigade also participated in operations around Sloviansk, Sviatohirsk, and the Donetsk region, helping to liberate towns such as Novoselivka and Lyman.

In 2025, the brigade was equipped with American Stryker armored personnel carriers, enhancing its capability to conduct urban operations and rapid maneuvering in contested terrain.

Today, the 81st Brigade continues to be one of Ukraine’s elite air assault formations. Though its structure has evolved over time—most notably with the disbanding of the 122nd Battalion in August 2025 and the formation of a new 3rd Airmobile Battalion—the unit remains based in Kramatorsk, Donetsk Oblast, and is integrated into the 7th Rapid Response Corps.

Its personnel continue to operate in the most volatile sectors—Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kharkiv—embodying the brigade’s founding purpose: to defend Ukraine’s sovereignty in its most contested regions.

23rd Separate Mechanized Brigade

Since November 2023, the brigade's units have been fighting in the Avdiivka direction, successfully repelling the enemy's advance.

During the offensive of Russian troops on Kharkiv in the summer of 2024, individual units of the brigade participated in repelling the attack and containing the enemy on the approaches to the city. At the same time, the main forces of the 23rd brigade conducted active combat operations in the area of Chasovy Yar and Toretsk, Donetsk region. Since the beginning of November 2024, the brigade has been defending the country in the direction of Kurakhove, confronting superior enemy forces and slowing down their further advance with incredible efforts.

ARMBAND:

The brigade's emblem depicts a golden bow with crossed golden arrows, above which is a silver eight-pointed star.

This symbol was used on the seal of the Samara palanquin of the Zaporizhzhia Army, which emphasizes the heritage of the fighting traditions of the Ukrainian Cossacks.

The bow and arrows symbolize strength, speed and accuracy, and the star symbolizes the desire for victory and the honor of the soldiers defending Ukraine. Gold and silver in heraldry mean valor, wisdom and indomitability of spirit, which fully corresponds to the character of the brigade.
